What this is

A move relocates stock from one location to another inside a warehouse. On-hand totals do not change, only where the units live. Use it for putaway, consolidating bins, or freeing pick faces. It lives at Inventory > Move Inventory.

Pick how you want to move

Move Inventory has four tabs for different situations:

  • Single product: move one SKU from one bin to another.
  • Multi-line: move several products in one operation.
  • Whole bin: relocate everything in a bin to another bin in one step.
  • CSV relocate: bulk moves from an uploaded file.

Move a single product

  1. Go to Inventory > Move Inventory and stay on the Single product tab.
  2. Choose the Warehouse (required), then the Client (required) that owns the stock.
  3. Pick the product, the location it is moving from, the location it is moving to, and the quantity.
  4. Confirm the move. The units now show at the destination location.

Tips

  • A move never changes on-hand, allocated, or available totals for the warehouse, so it is safe to reorganize bins without affecting orders.
  • Use Whole bin when you are clearing or relabelling a bin, it is faster than moving SKUs one at a time.
  • Use CSV relocate after a large reslotting, prepare the file once and apply every move together.
