What this is

The Reports menu holds summaries of shipping, picking and packing, storage, receiving and order flow, plus the Audit Trail, a line-by-line record of every stock change.

Using a report

  • Choose a period with Today, This Week, This Month or Last Month, or set the From and To dates. Storage has no dates: it shows stock as it is now.
  • Choose a Client to narrow the report to one client. Archived clients are at the end of the list, marked (archived).
  • Click Export. Summary exports what is on the screen. Detailed exports the rows behind it: one line per shipment, order, receipt line or stock row. Both come as CSV or Excel.

The period and client you choose apply to that report only.

The reports

  • Shipments: total shipments, total postage, average cost and the number of brands, then one breakdown by carrier and service and one by brand. A parcel shipped without a label is listed under the carrier it went with, or under Local pickup or Manual when no carrier was named. Voided labels are left out of the totals. The detailed export lists them with a status of voided. When some of the labels in the period were made on a carrier's test account, a line under the totals says how many, what they cost, and that nothing was billed for them.
  • Pick & Pack: orders picked, orders packed and pick exceptions, and how many times each container was used. A parcel shipped as it is counts under No packaging. One packed in something that is not a stocked container counts under Custom packaging. A parcel with no packaging recorded counts under Not recorded.
  • Storage: locations occupied, SKUs, total units and allocated units, then on hand, allocated, on hold and available for each client. Stock in a location that is not sellable, such as Damaged, is on hand but not available. The detailed export lists every SKU by location.
  • Receipts: receipts by status (confirmed, voided, cancelled) and units received by client. Units received counts confirmed receipts.
  • Throughput: orders created, orders shipped, the fulfillment rate and the average time from created to shipped, by client. The average reads None shipped when nothing shipped in the period. Orders Shipped includes an order with only some of its parcels out, and the tile says how many are partly shipped.

The Audit Trail

Every change to stock, to an allocation or to a hold is a row, newest first. Use it to answer "why is this bin short?" or "who adjusted this?".

Finding the rows you want

  • Besides the period and client, you can filter by SKU. The page also has Lot, Entity Type and Source Type filters. Source Type lists every source the trail records, for example Adjustment, Move or Quick Receive.
  • In Lot, part of the lot number is enough, and capitals do not matter.
  • The export covers every row that matches your filters, not only the page you are looking at.
  • Times in the export are written with your time zone's offset, so they sort correctly in a spreadsheet.

Reading a row

Scroll the table to the right to see every column.

  • Type: Inventory is stock on hand in a bin. Allocation is units reserved for an order. Hold is units placed on hold.
  • Event: Added, Adjusted, Emptied or Row removed.
  • Lot: the lot, when the stock has one.
  • Counts: which number changed: on hand, reserved or held.
  • Qty Before, Qty After and Change: the number before, the number after, and the difference.
  • Source: what caused the change, for example Order, Shipment, Receipt, Move, Adjustment, Return or Hold.
  • Actor: the login that made the change.
  • Detail: the order, shipment or receipt number. For an adjustment, it is the reason and the note that were entered.

What common actions look like

  • An adjustment: one Inventory row with the Source Adjustment. The Detail reads like "Found: two more on the shelf".
  • An order: an Allocation row when units are reserved, with the order number in Detail, and another when the order is cancelled.
  • A label: two rows at the same moment. The on-hand number goes down, and the order's reservation is emptied.
  • A voided label: two rows that put both numbers back.
  • A move: one row for the bin the stock left and one for the bin it went to. Each row's Detail says where the units went, for example "Moved 3 from 02-DA-02-B4 to 02-DA-03-B1".
