What this is
You can receive stock on a phone at the dock: scan each item, confirm its bin, and add it to a receipt. The receipt is the same one you see under Inventory > Receipts at a desk.
Open it on the phone
- At a desk, go to Inventory > Receipts and click Receive on Mobile.
- Copy the link shown and send it to the phone, or click Open here to use this device.
- On the phone, choose the Client and the Warehouse, then tap Start Scanning. They stay the same for every scan in the session.
Scan an item
- Scan the item's barcode, or type its SKU and press Enter. The item opens under Just Scanned.
- Set the Quantity.
- Check the Location. If the product already has stock, CanShip selects that bin and says so, with the number of units there.
- Tap Add to Receipt. The line appears under Lines so far, and the scan field is ready for the next item.
The receipt is created when you add the first line. Scanning alone creates nothing.
Choose a different bin
Tap the Location box and either:
- type part of the bin's label to narrow the list, then tap the bin, or
- scan the bin's label. The bin with exactly that label is selected.
Put items on a skid
Scan the skid's label into the Skid field at the top. A bar reads "Putting items on skid" and the label, and each line you add after that shows the skid. Tap the x on the bar when the skid is done.
Add a photo
After a line is added, tap Add Photo on that line. The photo shows under the line, and on the receipt at a desk.
Review and confirm
Tap Review & Confirm to see every line with its bin, skid and photo count. Nothing is added to inventory until you tap Confirm Receipt.
If you leave the page, the lines are still there when you come back. Until it is confirmed, the receipt also shows as Open under Inventory > Receipts, where it can be finished or cancelled.
What can go wrong
- "No product matches". CanShip found no product with that barcode or SKU. Check the client you chose at the start, or add the product under Catalog > Products.
