What this is
Sometimes an order leaves the building without a CanShip label: the customer collects it, or it ships on another system. Mark as Shipped records that. It takes the order's allocated stock out of inventory and records a shipment with no label.
Before you start
The order must be Ready and fully allocated.
Mark one order as shipped
- Go to Orders and find the order.
- At the right end of its row, click the three dots and choose Mark as Shipped. Scroll the list sideways if you cannot see them.
- Choose the Carrier that took it. If it is not on the list, choose Other. If nobody carried it, tick Local pickup (no carrier) instead.
- If you have them, type the Service and the Tracking number. The Ship date starts at today; change it if the order left on another day.
- Click Mark Shipped.
What happens
- The order reads Shipped and moves to the Shipped tab.
- The stock that was allocated to the order is taken out of inventory.
- The order shows a shipment with the carrier, the service and the tracking number you typed.
- Under Fulfillment > Shipments the shipment is listed as Shipped. It has a packing slip and no label.
Several orders at once
Tick the orders, click Actions and choose Mark as shipped. Tracking numbers are not recorded when you do it this way.
Undo it
- Go to Fulfillment > Shipments and open the shipment.
- Click Reverse Shipment and confirm.
No carrier label was made, so nothing is cancelled at a carrier. The stock goes back and stays allocated to the order, the order reads Ready again, and the shipment reads Voided.
